
Lianne Zhou (President)
Lianne Zhou co-founded the Ottawa IceLightning Hockey Club in 2014 and has served as its President, overseeing the organization’s operations since 2015.
In 2025, she was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her longstanding and distinguished service to the Kanata community, including her leadership in introducing hockey and promoting volunteerism within immigrant communities.
Professionally , Lianne is a Senior Software Developer and Certified Scrum Master, with over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry.
Lanjian Yang (VP of fundraising)
Lanjian Yang, a co-founder of the IceLightning Hockey Club, has played a key role in fundraising for uniforms, insurance, and club activities. She coordinates coaches and teams across age groups, manages annual supplies, and organizes events and celebrations, supporting both players and the broader club community.
She graduated from medical school in China and holds a Master of Science in Human Genetics from McGill University.
Lanjian has over 15 years of experience as an immunology scientist in vaccine development, spanning both preclinical and clinical research. She is currently a real estate agent with Royal LePage.

Fei Peng(VP of communication)
Fei Peng joined the OILHC in 2016 and serves as VP, Communications. He leads the club’s external communications, working closely with the City of Ottawa on arena and facility rentals and with Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) on sanctioned events and hockey activities.
He manages annual ice-time negotiations, coordinates venues for the club’s events, and helped to organize New Year Friendship games with visiting youth teams from China. Fei also supports ongoing communication with parents and contributes to various club volunteer initiatives.
Professionally, he has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.
Chris Song (VP of Public Relationship)
Chris Song joined the Ottawa Ice Lightning Hockey Club as Team Manager in 2021 and has contributed significantly to strengthening the club’s operations and communications through her expertise in public relations and stakeholder engagement.
She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) with 17 years of experience delivering over 100 projects across their full life cycles, managing budgets of up to $2 million. Chris brings strong capabilities in strategic planning, reporting, and data analysis to support effective and sustainable organizational growth.

Wei Shen ( VP of finance )
Wei Shen is one of the co-founders of the club, established in 2014, and has played an instrumental role in its day-to-day operations.
She oversees a wide range of responsibilities, including managing the club’s accounting functions, coordinating on-ice support staff, and working closely with the coaching team to ensure smooth and effective operations.
Professionally, she is a Senior Customer Applications Engineer in the telecommunications industry, bringing more than 28 years of experience in the sector.
Longxiang Cui ( Media Producer )
Clint Cui, The club media producer, who hold a Master’s degree in Film Production from the Beijing Film Academy.
With over 10 years of experience in visual media, have worked on a wide range of projects, including feature films, series, documentaries, short films, and commercials. have developed key creative skills essential for successful execution, his extensive experience and unique perspective empower captivating visuals.
He own YoLAB, a studio to craft compelling visual narratives, capture the essence of story and delivering high-quality photo and video production services.


Gabriel Wang (Web/social media coordinator)
Gabriel Wang manages the club’s website and social media platforms, overseeing player registration and ensuring all online content is current. He joined club back in 2023.
He is a Senior Software Engineer in the telecommunications industry with over 20 years of experience, specializing in full software development life cycles and application maintenance.
