Ottawa Ice Lightning Hockey Club (OILHC), founded in 2014, is dedicated to promoting hockey within the local immigrant community, where many parents have limited familiarity with the sport. In addition to fostering a passion for hockey, the club emphasizes core Canadian values such as volunteerism, community involvement, and supporting those who are less fortunate. The success of our club would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers, the support of our sponsors, and, most importantly, the commitment of our young coaching staff. Their time, effort, and passion are the foundation of our programs and play a vital role in creating a positive experience for all participants.
We would like to extend recognition to the individuals who contributed the most volunteer hours and achieved the highest attendance rates within their respective coaching groups during the 2026 training season:

Special recognition goes to Jasper Nie, Coach Advisor, who contributed countless volunteer hours to the club in the past and returned once again during the 2026 training season to support Ottawa Ice Lightning after graduating from university. While his contribution is not reflected in volunteer hours or university application requirements, his willingness to give back demonstrates true community spirit and embodies the values of Ottawa Ice Lightning.
